Assessor Power Course

This generic assessor unit standard is for people who assess or intend to assess candidates against unit standards and/or qualifications. People who have achieved this unit standard will be able to conduct assessments within their fields of expertise in line with the criteria for the registration of assessors.

We also run in-house power courses for a maximum of 10 learners per workshop at a client’s venue. The success of the power course lies in the planning process. To ensure that all learners submit completed portfolios of evidence on the last day of the workshop, we implement the following processes: Our facilitator engage with the client for at least one week prior to the commencement of the workshop to assist the client with the following:

Assessor Course:

• Unit standard selection: all power course learners are to use the same unit standard for the purposes of assessing selected candidates during workplace assessments;
• Assessment instrument design, based on the selected unit standard;
• Assessment candidate selection for each learner assessor; and
• Assessment schedule design and development for the learner assessors and selected candidates, i.e. when, how, who, etc
